Overview of Class:
During our time together we will look at how through the experience of happiness we also will experience joy. The class is based on two excellent books by Max Lucado:
- How Happiness Happens
- Happy Today: A Guided Journey to Genuine Joy
Worldwide people profess that happiness is their most cherished goal. How long has it been since you felt a level of contagious, infectious, and unflappable unstoppable happiness?
The true secret to happiness is it happens when you give it away. You can’t control the weather, the traffic or anything else that seems to steal your happiness. But you can bring smiles to a few faces. You can help people to hum instead of grumble, walk instead of stumble.
Max’s books help equip us with practical day-to- day ideas that produce a life of happiness and moments of true joy.
This class will provide you a spiritual perspective of happiness and joy through God’s eyes. Come join us to look at how to bring more happiness and joy into your life and those you love or work with. This will be worth your time. Today is a wonderful day to become happier. See you soon.
Objectives:
- Identify the role of happiness and joy for Christians.
- Identify areas for you to improve your search for happiness.
- Review areas of scripture that talk about God’s plan for happiness.
