“Managing Anxiety:  So, it Doesn’t Manage You.”

Presented By Barb Schroeder, MS, ACNS-BC, NC-BC

Please join us for Redeemer’s March Caring Connections meeting, on Monday, March 11th, from 7-8:30 p.m., both in person in the North Fellowship Hall, or by Zoom.

We are so pleased to have Barb Schroeder, who has spoken to our congregation on “Gratefulness” and “Happiness,” and now she will present “Anxiety,” from a Christian perspective, using a strong scriptural foundation to share with us. Barb has worked for over 40 years, at Mayo Clinic, where she has worked in Cardiology, Patient Education, and she has been a Clinical Nurse Specialist, working with both Oncology patients, and Organ Transplant patients and their families. Barb grounds her presentations in scripture, utilizing many Christian resources in sharing with us. Barb bases much of her presentation on anxiety on Max Lucao’s book, “Be Anxious for Nothing.”

Please join us for an information, resourceful, and faith- directed journey of how anxiety affects us all, and how God’s plan for each of us is Divine.

This class will provide the following:

  • Review the incidence and prevalence of anxiety in the US.
  • Review plausible causes of anxiety.
  • Describe the forms of anxiety.
  • Describe symptoms associated with anxiety.
  • Review Bible verses to help you cope with anxiety.
  • Address how the church can help support those who are dealing with anxiety.
  • Review list of resources regarding anxiety.

The Zoom link for the class will be sent out to the entire congregation on Thursday, March 7th, prior to the meeting on March 11th. For any questions, please contact Kathy Zarling, Parish Nurse, (398-7036) or call the church office (289-5147). We hope to see you there!
